"7 Stress-Reducing Ideas for Spring"
1) Get Human!
This is a list of U.S. companies and their direct phone numbers that enable you to talk to a real, live, human being!!
Included in each listing, is the sequence of keys to push to bypass the insipid menus (For example, Press 0# at each prompt, ignoring messages-OR-Say "agent"at each prompt...) Go to gethuman.com
This site will save you time, money, and frustration, and reduce your stress! Check it out, and pass it along!
2) Relax! It's just tax season!
Free Download of "Guided Relaxation for Taxpayers" I know it sounds funny, but this 12-minute relaxation is wonderful! I laughed when I saw the title, but decided to check it out and I am so glad I did! www.relaxationsuite.com They also offer other guided relaxations that you can buy. I will be checking those out, too.
3) Laugh!
Really hard! Laugh so hard you have to bend over and you feel like you can't breathe and your stomach and jaw hurt. Yes, that hard.

FYI: April, 2009 is the 33nd anniversary of National Humor Month!
4) Plan a garden. April is also National Gardening Month. Start your plans! Gardening is one of the most stress-reducing activities you can do outdoors! Ten Thousand Villages, www.tenthousandvillages.com, is a wonderful place to find beautiful items to use in your garden, or to grow potted plants and herbs.
One of the world's largest fair trade organizations and a founding member of the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT), the company strives to improve the livelihood of tens of thousands of disadvantaged artisans in 38 countries. Ten Thousand Villages accomplishes this by establishing a sustainable market for handmade products in North America, and building long term buying relationships in places where skilled artisan partners lack opportunities for stable income. Product sales help pay for food, education, healthcare and housing for artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed.
5) Cuddle. Hug. Cuddle, hug, repeat.

6) Stop eating junk food. As Julia Ross, author of The Mood Cure and a pioneer in the field of nutritional psychology, writes, "junk moods come from junk foods." We eat these things to get out of a bad mood, but the irony is these foods are part of the problem!
7) Walk. As much as possible. Anytime. Take stairs, go for mini-walks at lunch, walk around your house or office, go to the track, meet a friend, just WALK!
